Clothing Warehouse & Office Refurbishment Project
Our team recently undertook the design and installation of heating, hot water, gas and air conditioning systems as part of a clothing warehouse and office refurbishment project. The project involved upgrading the building’s heating and cooling systems to improve comfort, efficiency and reliability across both warehouse and office areas.
Project Overview
This refurbishment project required a complete mechanical services installation to support warehouse operations, office working environments and staff facilities. The system design ensured appropriate heating for large open warehouse spaces, comfortable temperatures in office areas, and reliable hot water for wash facilities.
The project included:
- Three warm air units including destratification systems
- Central heating and hot water boiler systems to communal areas and wash facilities
- Air conditioning in all offices and server rooms
- New gas network installation
Warm Air Heating & Destratification Systems
Large warehouse spaces require different heating solutions compared to domestic properties or small commercial units. For this project, we installed three warm air units designed to efficiently heat large open areas.
We also installed destratification systems, which help circulate warm air that naturally rises to the ceiling back down to floor level. This improves heating efficiency, reduces energy waste and creates a more comfortable working environment within the warehouse.
Central Heating & Hot Water Systems
In addition to warehouse heating, we installed a central heating and hot water system to serve communal areas, wash facilities and staff areas within the building. This included boiler installation, pipework, heating distribution and hot water supply systems.
Providing reliable hot water and heating for staff facilities is an essential part of commercial refurbishment projects, particularly in buildings used daily by employees.
Office Air Conditioning Installation
Air conditioning systems were installed throughout the office areas and server rooms to maintain comfortable working temperatures and protect equipment from overheating.
Server rooms in particular require temperature control to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably, while office air conditioning improves comfort and productivity for staff.
New Gas Network Installation
As part of the refurbishment, we installed a new gas network to supply the heating and hot water systems throughout the building. Gas pipework was designed and installed to meet current safety standards and provide reliable supply to all plant and equipment.
