Frequently Asked Questions

We’ll send out one of our friendly expert installers to fit your charge point.

Our installer will arrive at your selected time. We’ll then install your charger on a brick or plaster wall that’s connected to your property.

Cable is run from the wall mounted position of your charger to your electricity meter position which should be no more than 10m.

The cable to the charge point is neatly clipped flush to the wall or in conduit/trunking. We’ll tidy up and take all the rubbish away.

Once the installation is complete, we will register your parts and labour guarantee with the manufacturer.

If your property has off-road parking and a suitable location for installation then yes. For example, a driveway, garage, or carport can be ideal places to set up a home charging point.

To ensure safety, compliance, and warranty protection, it’s advisable to hire a certified professional for installing a home EV charger.

Our home chargers can be installed from £795 including VAT. For information about available grants, visit the government website.

Charging times can range from 20 minutes to 12 hours or more, depending on the charger type, battery capacity, state of charge, vehicle model, and efficiency.

In the UK, most home chargers are Level 2 chargers, which typically operate at 7 to 22 kilowatts (kW). A 7 kW charger is the most common option for home use, providing a balanced mix of charging speed and power requirements.

Most home charge point installations can be completed within 2 -4 hours, particularly if you’ve prepared for the installation prior to our fitter arriving at your home. This includes clearing the space around your meter, having your Wi-Fi password handy and removing any obstacles from areas where cables may need to pass through
