Full Home Renovation & Heating System Upgrade
Deakin’s are currently undertaking the upgrading of a large home, including a complete heating system installation, hot water system upgrade, and full pipework installation throughout the property.
This project involves designing and installing a modern, efficient heating system to replace outdated pipework and improve heating performance across the entire home.
Project Overview
This full home renovation project includes a complete heating system redesign to ensure the property benefits from reliable heating, consistent hot water and improved energy efficiency.
Our work on this project includes:
- Full central heating system installation
- New hot water cylinder installation
- Complete copper pipework installation
- Heating controls and zoning
- System pressurisation equipment
- Plant room layout and installation
Hot Water Cylinder & Plant Room Installation
The image above shows part of the plant room installation, including a new hot water cylinder, expansion vessel, zone valves and newly installed copper pipework. This setup allows for improved hot water storage, better system pressure control and more efficient heating distribution throughout the property.
Installing a properly designed plant room is essential for larger properties, as it ensures reliable heating performance and easier maintenance in the future.
New Heating Pipework Installation
As part of this renovation, we installed new copper pipework throughout the property to replace older pipework and improve system efficiency. Proper pipe sizing, routing and system balancing are critical for ensuring consistent heating across all radiators and hot water outlets.
Poor pipework design is one of the most common causes of heating problems in older homes, which is why full renovations often require complete system upgrades rather than simply replacing the boiler.
Heating System Design for Renovated Homes
When a home is fully renovated, the heating system should be redesigned to match the updated layout, insulation levels and hot water demand. Simply reconnecting an old system to a renovated property often leads to poor performance and higher running costs.
We design heating systems to ensure:
- Correct boiler sizing
- Balanced heating across the property
- Reliable hot water supply
- Energy efficient operation
- Future serviceability and maintenance access
